| Criterion | Guiding question |
|---|---|
| Specific | What exactly should be achieved? |
| Measurable | How do you recognise success? |
| Attractive | Why is it worth it, does everyone support it? |
| Realistic | Can it be done with the resources? |
| Time-bound | By when exactly? |
Frequently asked questions
How does the tool detect vague words?
Using a fixed list of typical phrases such as “improve”, “optimise” or “asap”. It is rule-based, no AI.
Are there variants of SMART?
Yes, the A is also read as “achievable” or “agreed”. The check stays the same.
Is the tool really free?
Yes. The tool runs entirely in your browser, without sign-up and at no cost.
Is my data stored?
Only locally in your browser, so your work is still there next time. Nothing is sent to our servers. “Share link” puts your state into the link’s address; anyone who gets the link can see it.
